Terms of Service
Last updated 22 October 2026
The short version
- Career Assistant is free and in an early version: features may change.
- Your content stays yours. We use it only to run the service for you.
- What the AI writes is a draft: check it before you send anything to an employer.
- Do not misuse the service or other people's data.
- Italian law applies, and your rights as a consumer stay intact.
1. About these terms
These terms govern your use of Career Assistant at careerassistant.tech (the “service”), run by Francesco Palandra, a private individual based in Italy (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the service you accept them. How we handle personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.
2. The service
- An AI workspace for your job search: an archive of your experience, job search and matching, tailored CVs, application tracking and interview preparation.
- It is free of charge and offered as an early version. We may change, limit or stop features, and the service may at times be unavailable. No level of availability is promised.
- AI runs share one daily budget across all users. Once it is spent, new AI runs are refused until it resets at midnight UTC; browsing and editing keep working. We may also cap how many runs you have open at once, and change these limits.
3. Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old.
- Give accurate sign-in details and keep your account secure: you are responsible for what is done with it.
- One account per person. Do not share it or sign up on someone else's behalf.
4. Your content
- What you upload or write (your CV, records, notes, the jobs you add) stays yours.
- You give us a free, non-exclusive licence to store, copy and process it, including through the providers listed in the Privacy Policy, only to run the service for you. It ends when you delete the content or your account, apart from backup copies until they expire.
- You confirm you have the right to upload it. Do not upload other people's personal data beyond what a job search needs, such as a referee you chose to name.
5. AI output
- Extractions, fit results, CVs and dossiers are made by AI. They can be wrong or incomplete, and they stay drafts until you confirm them.
- The service is built not to invent experience, skills or requirements, but you must check everything before you rely on it or send it to anyone. You are responsible for what you submit to employers, and for it being true.
- A fit result is guidance, not a prediction of any hiring decision. We do not promise interviews, offers or any other outcome.
6. Acceptable use
Do not:
- use the service for anything unlawful, or to mislead employers about your experience;
- upload malware, or content that infringes other people's rights;
- try to reach other users' data, probe or break security, or get around the usage limits;
- scrape, overload or automate access to the service, or resell it;
- copy or reverse engineer the service, except where the law allows it.
7. Third-party content
Job listings come from public sources and from the links you add. They belong to their owners and may be out of date or wrong: apply through the employer's own site. We are not responsible for the third-party websites the service links to.
8. Our rights
The service, its design and its code belong to us. You get a personal, non-transferable right to use it under these terms. Company names and logos shown with job listings belong to their owners.
9. Suspension and ending
- You can stop using the service at any time and ask us to delete your account at frklintech@gmail.com.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and tell you why unless the law or security prevents it.
- If we close the service, we give reasonable notice where we can, so you can copy what you need.
10. Liability
- As is. The service is free and provided as it is, without warranties beyond those the law requires.
- Limits. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, lost opportunities, or decisions taken on the basis of AI output.
- What is not limited. Nothing here limits liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence (art. 1229 of the Italian Civil Code), or any right you have as a consumer that cannot be waived, including under the Italian Consumer Code (Legislative Decree 206/2005).
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We change the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell you by email or in the app at least 15 days before they apply. If you do not agree, you can stop using the service and delete your account.
12. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by Italian law. If you are a consumer, you may bring a claim before the courts of the place where you live, and you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your country of residence.
